Meet Darrel Davis, retired from Caterpillar, Inc. after 30 years in their service department. Darrel and his wife Candy now own and operate Failure Analysis Services (FAS) specializing in field failure analysis training. Darrel is a civil engineer and began his mechanical experience working as a journeymen mechanic to earn his way through college; progressing to owning and operating his own repair and body shop. Hiring on at Cat in 1973, Darrel has developed Lift Truck tooling, created Time Requirement Guides, served as an Engine Product Analyst, became Eastern Division Field Service Coordinator, served as Engine Division Regional Manager, and in 1984, began developing failure analysis training at Caterpillar. Since retirement, Darrel has continued to expand and develop failure analysis training.

Darrel and Candy are home-based near Morton, Illinois, and travel with van or "Hvy Chvy" dooley with fifth wheel to your location.
